Ac One 1w1x6g
Jozef Fodor, known as AC-one, is a contemporary artist from Bratislava, born in 1983. Immersed in the urban environment of a housing estate as a child, Fodor became captivated by street art, inspiring him to create his first pseudonym at age 12 and dive into the world of graffiti. Graffiti became the driving force of his artistic journey, and as he matured, he felt the need to imbue his work with deeper meaning. To further his knowledge, he delved into artistic literature, often visiting libraries to educate himself, drawing inspiration from then-rising street artist Banksy.
Fodor briefly pursued studies in architecture to channel his creativity but eventually left to fully commit to his art. He began painting on canvas, finding early success as he sold his work to his first clients. Despite this shift, Fodor remained dedicated to street art, participating in major events like the Bratislava Street ART festival, part of the city’s Cultural Summer. In 2011, he gained recognition when the Academy of Fine Arts invited him to the "Amores Perros" exhibition at the European Center for Fine Arts in Bratislava, followed by a feature in the "Painting Artshow" at the M++ gallery in 2012. Fodor's art spans various techniques and styles, but his goal remains constant: to infuse each work with depth and atmosphere, creating pieces that resonate with viewers on a meaningful level.
