Alex was born in Fribourg, a small town in French-speaking Switzerland. Even as a child, he tended to become more involved in Visual Arts classes, with promising results. In the early 2000s, as a young teenager, he gradually developed a ion for drawing realistic portraits in graphite and enjoyed exploring various media and techniques, encouraged by his family and friends. As a self-taught artist, he developed his skills by focusing on capturing expression and emotion, particularly in children. His work, far from being perfect and professional in the traditional sense, reflects a keen attention to detail and authenticity, aiming to convey the personality and soul of his subjects through every stroke. Over the years, his artistic approach has become more pronounced, emphasizing striking contrasts and the subtle integration of genuine 24-carat gold leaf. This technique, the signature of her current identity, reflects his desire to fuse tradition and modernity, while bringing a precious, luminous and unique dimension to his portraits.
