Conçue en 1937 sous le nom de Donna Duck, Daisy fait ses débuts dans le dessin animé Don Duck où elle est courtisée par un Donald qui l’accable de mauvaises plaisanteries ») … D’un caractère bien trempé, Daisy ne se laisse pas faire : on peut dire que nos deux canards se sont bien trouvés !
C’est en 1940 qu’elle prend définitivement le nom de Daisy Duck dans Mr Duck Steps Out (L’entreprenant M. Duck).
