Ich fotografiere.
Überwiegend draußen ohne Blitz oder Stativ. Hier unterwerfe ich mich klar dem Ansatz der Reportage. Mich interessiert das Genuine, das Unverfälschte und der Moment, den ich festhalten möchte.
Am Ende kommt das Ausbelichten der Bilder auf Baryt. Bei allen Bildern fasziniert mich die Haptik, gerade Fotografien sind oftmals sehr glatt und der Look viel zu clean. An meine Drucke lege ich dann noch einmal Hand an - ganz analog. Mit dem Mittel der Collage kann ich so Dinge verändern. Eine sichtbare Zerstörung eines Bildes verschmilzt mit einem intakten. Ein neukomponiertes Werk entsteht.
In meinen Bildern begebe ich mich auf die Suche nach dem Ursprünglichen, dem Unmittelbaren, dem Unverfälschten. Gleichzeitig zerstöre ich eine Szenerie. Das Bild erhält mit der Collage eine neue Dynamik.
