Barbara Delaplace est née à Paris.
Depuis l’enfance ionnée de dessin et de peinture, elle s’est d’abord consacrée à l’aquarelle, avant de se tourner vers la peinture à l’huile, qui lui apporte une plus grande liberté.
Après une formation aux techniques des grands maîtres et plusieurs années d’inspiration «classique», Barbara a ressenti le besoin d’évoluer, sans pour autant renier ses œuvres précédentes mais pour se dégager de certaines contraintes du classicisme, ce qui lui a permis d'acquérir un style plus contemporain.
Pour ce faire elle a suivi l’enseignement de Jean Arcelin, et de Christoff Debusschere.
Désormais, Barbara Delaplace canalise sa force et sa sensibilité dans la description de scènes de vie. Elle réalise aussi des portraits sur commande.
Barbara Delaplace vit à Deauville en Normandie.
