I was born in Nancy on January 19, 1973.
Painting chose me and it is as essential to me as food. It seems to me like a window through which I fly to another world.
When I was very young, I started scribbling on the margins of notebooks, drawing on tapestries... As a teenager, my two drawing teachers were my “mentors”; they gave me a taste for art history and also allowed me to progress artistically and definitively find my way.
I continued to make drawings, paintings and various creations over the years for those around me and also for strangers. I have not followed any academic artistic education, but I continue to be nourished by abundant exchanges and it is as an autodidact that I progress at my own pace. I have this deeply rooted desire to express the poetry of the human soul in my paintings through which I let my inspiration flow. My style is difficult to determine. I would say it's a bit like a cocktail. Mix as you want, styles, techniques: – What is good is beautiful!
I draw inspiration from several trends: impressionism, contemporary art. Dreamlike universes like that of Leonor Fini or Christian Chloé inspire me. My works are free constructions, I like to bring spontaneous expression to them. I use mixed techniques as varied as watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, etc. I am always looking for new pictorial emotions but my greatest emotion is the portrait which gives it to me. given. Creating a face, making it come alive, is the privilege of being able to reproduce life, that’s the magic of portraiture. Today and with maturity, my motivation is no longer to relieve myself of these emotions but in the desire to make them understood.
