Cade is a contemporary French sculptor with roots in southern Burgundy and a distant island. Her journey into sculpture began unexpectedly, discovering the art of modeling later in life. She first drew clay from the Mauvaise, a small childhood river, marking the start of her artistic exploration.
What began as modeling evolved into sculpture, driven by dedication and perseverance. This progression naturally led her to work with bronze, a material she values for its permanence and ability to lend depth and intensity to even the simplest forms. Cade believes that the size of a sculpture does not determine its significance, asserting that a small subject can be as compelling as a larger one.
