Cher Pruys is a contemporary Canadian painter known for her realistic style, with elements of abstraction in her recent collections. Born in 1956 in Regina, Pruys began her artistic journey with oil paints before expanding her expertise to acrylic, watercolor, and gouache, which are now her preferred mediums. Despite being self-taught, her dedication and talent have earned her wide recognition.

Pruys has been juried into 439 international exhibits and participated in numerous non-juried shows, amassing 659 awards. She is d with prestigious groups such as the American Society of Aviation Artists (ASAA), Canadian Society of Aviation Artists (CSAA), Society of Canadian Artists (SCA), and many others. Some of her notable achievements include the Mary Pratt Crystal Award of Excellence in 2014, multiple 1st and 2nd place awards from the SCA, and international accolades like the Gold Medal for Figurative Painting in Mondial Art Academia's 2018 competition.

Her artwork has been featured in 21 solo exhibitions, on the covers of 33 magazines, and in over 224 international publications. Cher’s painting "The Bubble" was part of the International Guild of Realism Masterworks Tour. In addition to painting, she is a fused glass artist and a certified piano and guitar teacher. Her works are housed in both private and public collections worldwide, affirming her place as an influential figure in contemporary art.
