Chiara Napolitano is a contemporary Italian painter. After finishing her studies she began her artistic investigation which evolved to define a very personal and authentic style. All her paintings are romantically nostalgic, associating current techniques with subjects from a distant time. The recurring theme of her works is the woman who is reflected in a mirror or in a shadow, but who often on the other side does not find her mirror image, but colored fantasies, to evoke an inner research that shows aspects of us that sometimes we don't recognize and struggle to accept.
Whether they are posed portraits or scenes captured in an intimate moment, these works express her inner world and her relationship with art. A relationship that is never completely satisfied and fulfilling, which will give space to a tireless pictorial evolution, giving us works of great emotional and visual impact.
Chiara Napolitano was born in 1986, in Italy, where she graduated from the Venturi Art Institute in Modena.
