Je suis un photographe de voyage amateur, parfois surpris par mes propres clichés, désireux de les partager avec d'autres amoureux du voyage et de la photographie. Mon envie d'arpenter le monde me conduit tout jeune au Rajhastan. J'attrape le virus. Premier grand voyage en Afrique australe, traversée de Johannesburg au Cap ; l'Okavango et les Chutes Victoria me marquent pour toujours. L'Asie du Sud-Est m'attire : Vietnam, Bali et Sulawesi, mes plus belles plongées à bouteille. Je suis envouté par Cuba, de Santa Lucia à la Punta de Maisi. Le désert rouge de Jordanie et la ponte des tortues au bord du Golfe persique à Oman. L'Afrique de l’Est pour un safari-photo en Tanzanie, et nager avec les dauphins dans le sud de Zanzibar. L'Océan Indien, ses boutres, ses pécheurs et ses plages me comblent (Maurice, La Réunion, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Oman...). A nouveau en Inde, à moto le long de la Vallée de l’Indus, à travers le Ladakh et le Cachemire, Srinagar me fascine. Sur la Route de la Soie en Chine de l’Ouest, d'Urumqi via Kashgar le long du désert du Taklamakan, jusqu'aux frontières kirghize et pakistanaise. Puis c’est l'Afghanistan, le « voyage impossible » : le corridor du Wakhan, Bamiyan et ses bouddhas disparus, Jalalabad, et le Panjhir, la vallée du Commandant Massoud. Je réalise que j’ai une attirance particulière pour les paysages arides et montagneux de cette Asie Centrale aux vallées verdoyantes. S’y ajoutent ceux de l’Iran, peuple d’accueil et de culture. Au Gujarat, dans l'ashram de Gandhi. Le Népal m’offre un coucher de soleil sur le seigneur Everest. L'Amérique du Nord m’accueille plusieurs fois. L’Egypte me réserve un choc culturel intense. La Birmanie est un vieux rêve qui se réalise, tout comme la lointaine Éthiopie du Sud et ses tribus venues du fond des âges. La route s’ouvre à nouveau devant moi
