Cristina Marquès is a contemporary French sculptor. The work of Marquès is full of nuance and refinement. Balance and poetry, calm and storm, Yin and Yang; it leads to reflection, invites us to enter her universe, which is revealed as it goes along, always further.

Her preferred medium is abstract, but she also enjoys figurative and design work. Acrylic glass (Altuglas/Plexiglas) is her favorite material. Its transparency, colors, and so-called docility as it becomes bendable like synthetic clay. 

The artist works with the fragmentation, the shadow and the light, the full and the empty, the horizontality and the verticality, while remaining in an affirmed structure.
