Dilan Samarathunga is a successful artist from Sri Lanka who started his ion of creating art from his childhood and followed art as a subject in his school time. Due to his great ion for art, he has participated in several classes that teach art well and among them, he has gained a lot of knowledge from the art class at the National Art Gallery. After attending that class, his ion for art grew even more after seeing the people there working. He is an architect by profession and painting has also become a part of his life.

We also have the opportunity to see many of his paintings in the marina mall. He is an artist who is not limited to one subject and he has included abstract, landscape, animal as his subjects.

Since 2015, he has kept the audience captivated through his works in the vast exhibition space called Kalapola. He has also exhibited his works at the National Art Gallery, where his works have received a special place and he has received a certificate as an appreciation.
