Benjamin est artiste peintre côté, dessinateur et graveur.
Il consacre depuis son plus jeune âge la majeure partie de son temps libre à dessiner, peindre et écrire des poèmes et en compte déjà plus d'une centaine à son actif.
Il est également le seul à avoir traduit de son vivant et en français des poèmes d'un ami poète et écrivain: Cornelis Leonardus van der Pluijm (1954-2014).
Il a rangé sa plume en 2015 au profit du pinceau et du pastel. Il crée de façon spontanée. À l'achèvement de chacune de ses oeuvres, il en ressent l'intériorité et doit marquer un temps d'arrêt.
En juillet 2016, il crée le Tournillisme, mouvement artistique. Le tournillisme est l'absence d'académisme, l'absence d'influence de quelque mouvement artistique que ce soit, c'est un mouvement dont ses membres sont nécessairement autodidactes et dont leurs oeuvres sont gorgées de spontanéité. Une fois l'oeuvre achevée, celle-ci est inclinée de gauche à droite et de bas en haut jusqu'à ce que son créateur retrouve en son oeuvre une autre signification qu'il désire partager avec son public. Ainsi, l'oeuvre de son créateur peut être présentée à la verticale même si celle-ci a été peinte à l'horizontale. Une oeuvre, peinte, sculptée ou photographiée peut, une fois inclinée en un angle particulier signifier tout autre chose, apporter au public ainsi qu'à son créateur un autre univers à porté de main, une autre dimension qui donne une toute autre signification à son travail. L'esprit, l'âme du créateur s'exprime en bien des façons et cette technique, révolutionnaire, permet aux membres du tournillisme de se détacher de toute forme de conformisme et confère une incroyable liberté dans la façon de créer.
