Erik Schlobohm is a self-taught artist from the Northwest who currently lives in Littleton, CO. He began painting as a way of dealing with the stress of his job. Erik’s art reflects his beliefs about society and its relation to nature. He believes that art should be colorful and vibrant. He works exclusively with acrylic paints, clay, pastels, and wood. A lot of his work incorporates a 3-D / sculpture element to give the painting an extra depth effect.  Erik likes to create a place where people can escape to, which is why he began painting in the first place.
