It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Francis Riancho was born in Bordeaux in 1952. He spent his youth near Bayonne before continuing his studies in Lyon and starting a career in IT in the Paris region, then internationally. It was only after his retirement that he returned to painting and drawing, abandoning the world of IT to return to his childhood ion.
From 2018 to 2019, Riancho first devoted himself to drawing with Indian ink, gradually enriched with dry pastels. This pastel technique, which was new to him at the time, became a true artistic revelation, leading him to make pastel his medium of choice. His art, rooted in realism and impressionism, is distinguished by a profound work on light, water and reflections. Inspired by great masters such as Degas, Corot, Van Gogh, and Francine Van Hove, he explores the richness and diversity of pastel on paper and plexiglass.
Riancho is recognized for his talents, having won several awards, including the Prix du Pastel in Bourges and Issoudun in 2023, and the 1st Prix du Pastel in Saint Florent-sur-Cher in 2022. In 2019, he also received the Prix du Public in Trouy. His recognition extends to the national level, with notable exhibitions at the Petite Galerie in Honfleur in 2022 and at the Espace Simon Giacomini gallery in Sartène since 2023.
A member of the Association "Art du pastel en " and the "Société des Pastellistes de ", he is also listed in the Dictionnaire GUID'ARTS. His work is characterized by a constant quest for perfection in realistic representation, highlighting depth and texture through his pastel works. Since late 2023, Riancho has been exploring a new approach to framing pastel, aiming to free the works from traditional constraints. Using innovative techniques such as sandwich framing, he seeks to preserve the quality and durability of pastels while offering more varied and modern framing possibilities.
