Frédérick Meunier was born in 1973 in the Paris region. Today, he has found refuge near Vannes, in Morbihan, a place that reflects his deep sensitivity.
Self-taught by nature, he follows an artistic trajectory off the beaten track, preferring the momentum of the moment to the rigor of established frameworks.
Frédérick has always been an emotional being, attentive to what cannot be seen: Time, the invisible, the mysteries of the universe. Even as a child, he asked unanswered questions. This taste for the unexplained has never left him. He ionately nourishes his reflections through science, cinema, or anything that opens doors to elsewhere.
His first artistic gestures took shape in poetry, an intimate terrain where he deposited his emotions, his intuitions, his silences.
But it was around his forties that something clicked: he decided to fully embrace his creative streak, to trust this inner strength he had suppressed for too long. He then dared to take the plunge. First, glass, a luminous and fragile material, then painting, where his hand found a new freedom.
He feels close to figures like Dubuffet, Cocteau, and Combas—artists who, like him, rejected boxes and embraced instinct. Frédérick finds his own language in a dialogue between poetry and ancient art, a balance between sensitivity and power.
In painting, he explores acrylic for its intensity and its ability to make a statement. Watercolor allows him to suspend time, to suggest more than to show. Each work thus becomes a space for breathing.
Frédérick is a man in search—of truth, of consciousness, of presence. What he seeks is the right moment. The one we capture in a glance, a breath, a landscape.
Nature, music, and travel are his inexhaustible sources of inspiration. He draws from them what nourishes his need for freedom, authenticity, and encounters.
For him, creating is an act of courage. He confronts his emotions to better touch others. He wants to give meaning. To connect. To be free.
Art, in its purest essence, becomes his path to humanity: a language without borders, vibrant, vital, which touches the soul, the heart, the spirit.
Frédérick doesn't seek to please, he seeks to express. To transmit. To awaken.
