I created this work at the Monaco Méditerranée show as a resident artist on the stand held by Comforart.
I have wanted to open myself up to new perspectives for a long time, but I needed to give meaning to it.
This show was the perfect opportunity.
This work is directly inspired by this incredible Monegasque boat, the Tuiga.
The work is entirely handmade, combining different processes around carbon and the hull of the boat as well as the ropes are gilded with gold leaf.
"The sea carries the boats, and the woman the hearts of men", this inscription is not a quote but simply the written translation of what I wanted to represent visually. Obviously it talks about sailors, but I also and above all wanted to pay tribute to these women who their spouses.

J'ai besoin de sans cesse apprendre, d'expérimenter de nouvelles techniques ce qui rend mon travail ionnant car lorsqu'une nouvelle oeuvre sort de l'atelier, je sais qu'elle ne laissera pas indifférent et en réalité, pour moi, c'est tout ce qui compte. Que l'oeuvre plaise ou non, si elle permet de discuter, d'échanger, c'est le plus important.
