Hervé Gergaud è fotografo e ritoccatore di immagini da oltre 35 anni. Fotografo e artista, da diversi anni si evolve nel suo universo onirico e surrealista grazie al fotomontaggio, da cui ricava immagini uniche, al tempo stesso estetiche e a tratti inquietanti. Cerca di turbare lo spettatore attraverso la sua immaginazione, con il suo approccio fantasmagorico a una visione del mondo che non lascia indifferenti. Fotografo e tecnico di laboratorio di formazione, ha lavorato in diverse agenzie fotografiche come Gamma, Sipa e la prestigiosa agenzia MagnumPhotos. Ha collaborato attivamente a mostre e libri di Henri Cartier-Bresson, Raymond Depardon, Antoine d'Agata, Joseph Koudelka, Martin Parr e molti altri. Successivamente ha collaborato con il grande fotoreporter Reza presso l'agenzia Webistan. Si occupò della conservazione del suo patrimonio fotografico e della preparazione delle sue immagini per mostre e libri. Ritoccatore al servizio di Sebastião Salgado per due anni, ha stampato le sue stampe per tutte le sue mostre in tutto il mondo. Lavora anche come fotografo indipendente, tenendo workshop e mostre di fotografia (in particolare presso 104) in istituti medici per persone autistiche, carceri e case di cura. Membro dell'agenzia Millennium Images di Londra dal 2019.
