It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.
Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. Né en 1962 et résidant au Mas d’Agenais (47), Jean-Louis CASSE est un artiste dont le parcours est marqué par un amour profond pour l’art et une quête constante de lumière et de contrastes. C’est un ionné qui puise son inspiration dans la nature environnante et ses souvenirs de voyages à travers la et le monde. Diplômé des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux en section Architecture (1979-1983), il explore diverses facettes de l’art pictural à travers trois grandes périodes artistiques :
1991-1996 : Surréalisme
Années 2000 : Aquarelles
2000-2021 : Une pause dans son parcours artistique, en raison de son activité de maître d’œuvre, consacrée à la conception et au suivi de projets architecturaux.
Depuis 2021 : Retour à la peinture, avec une orientation réaliste et une prédilection pour les marines.
Après deux décennies consacrées à sa carrière de maître d’œuvre indépendant, Jean-Louis CASSE a choisi de revenir pleinement à sa vocation première : la peinture. Ce retour est motivé par une volonté d’explorer davantage son art et de renouer avec les voyages, source essentielle de son inspiration. Depuis, il se consacre à des œuvres réalistes, principalement des paysages marins qui capturent la beauté brute des côtes et l’intensité des souvenirs de voyage.
Ses œuvres se distinguent par des contrastes saisissants et sa technique aiguisée mêle maîtrise et innovation : il utilise des acryliques extra fines (Sennelier ou Liquitex) sur des toiles de lin ou de coton, avec des finitions permettant une présentation raffinée, sans encadrement ou dans des caisses américaines pour un rendu optimal. En début de carrière, Jean-Louis CASSE s’est distingué en tant que finaliste d’un concours de peinture, avec une exposition dans la prestigieuse Chapelle de la Sorbonne à Paris. Par la suite, il a exposé dans différentes galeries et participé à plusieurs expositions marquantes dans sa région d’origine, notamment à Bordeaux, Marmande et Tonneins, et dans des événements tels que Festiv’Été au Mas d’Agenais.
