Aerial Views 1a2b is an abstraction of a very very small part (about 1/2 sq in) of another image (Wildflowers 100g2x3d) along a shadow at the edge of a petal. However enlarged greatly it actually reminds me of those now ubiquitous photos in many on-line photo-galleries of an aerial view of bathers at a beach. I've done some strange things to the coloration, though, for in this version, the sand is blue gray, the ocean black, the white water of the breakers is off white, and the people on the beach are salmon colored specks, with the black ovoid shapes outlined in cream color representing the beach umbrellas. Of course you are free to not see it that way if you choose - but I do, and find it quite amusing (let's see if the buyers of beach sun bathers pictures do too!!)

I am offering this version in 2 ADDITIONAL SIZES -- 36.4” H x 40” W at $3750. AND 21.8” H x 24” W at $1200. - If you want either of these sizes, use the "Make an Offer" option (in the box below the price listing) at $3750. (for 36.4” x 40” size) or $1200. (for 21.8” x 24” size) which I will accept. THE NUMBER OF PRINTS FOR ALL SIZES COMBINED IS 3 TOTAL; no matter which size prints happen to be purchased first, only 3 prints TOTAL FOR ALL SIZES COMBINED will be made.

Ken Lerner is a ionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
