Born in Dijon, Laurence Mauviel discovered painting at the age of 14 with the modern art collections of the Museum of Fine Arts in her city.
After several years of study of Applied Arts and internships in workshops, Laurence Mauviel is co-opted by a circle of Parisian painters and thus gradually enters the artistic life of the Capital.
Contemporary art fairs and exhibitions personal then followed one another in , Europe and the United States.
Derealizing shapes and lines, his painting is a syntax of landscapes, visions and memories recomposed into large ranges of colors. The recent introduction of mineral elements into oil painting fuels his creativity.
After having devoted 30 years of his life, his time, his soul to creation, Laurence Mauviel works today under the sky of Haute-Provence where light and shadows enrich her palette.
