Marie Palmier, born July 10, 1996 in Alès in Gard, is a multi-media visual artist. His artistic journey is a reflection of his complex personal history. Self-taught, she began her artistic journey without formal academic training, but with a burning ion for art. From a young age, she felt different, isolated from others, and she began to ask deep questions about life and death. These thoughts even led her to consider suicide as a possible escape from her suffering.
Marie's adolescence was marked by increasing suffering, at school and at home. She retreated into silence, taking refuge in reading and artistic documentaries. This immersion helped her discover her ion for art, but also to channel her emotions and explore her own psyche.
Marie made her debut in the world of artistic exhibition in 2021, revealing to the public her creations imbued with deep emotions. Today, she develops what she calls “captive art”, a concept where she uses her art to externalize her inner demons and explore the wounds of her past. More importantly, it invites the audience to delve into their own emotions, to reflect on their own discomfort, and to become aware of the suffering inflicted on others, whether conscious or unconscious.
Marie's artistic work goes far beyond raw emotional expression. She aspires to create an immersive experience for the audience, a journey of introspection, both about ourselves and the world around us. Her artistic quest aims for depth and authenticity, in the hope that art can be a catalyst for healing, for herself and for those who discover her work. In this artistic commitment, Marie Palmier explores deep emotional territories and opens doors to understanding the human soul.
