🌅Sometimes the subject for a painting comes to me spontaneously, as if inspired by nature itself. One such evening I was looking out the window at the mountains of Cyprus. The sun was slowly setting behind their silhouettes, painting the clouds with golden hues, and the sky was shimmering with turquoise pink. The moment was so magical and fleeting that I wanted to capture it on canvas, to keep it with me forever.

The mountains were surrounded by fields of olive trees, but I decided to change this landscape to the seascape so that the sea would reflect the color of the sky. I wanted the painting to have more space, more breath. If you look closely, on the hillside I added two figures, a man and a woman, holding hands, looking at the sunset. I don't know what they're thinking about, but maybe how big and beautiful nature is, how it connects us to something greater.

This is how my painting "Contemplating Beauty" was born - the artwork about a moment of silence, peace and iring the world around us.
