Mathieu Vaillant is a contemporary French sculptor. After ing through the Beaux-Arts, Vaillant put his taste for drawing into practice by studying industrial design. It is thus in the Applied Arts that he made his career, and more particularly as a creative in an advertising agency. His taste for art has never left him, and has spontaneously reappeared through sculpture, with no other objective than to release a need for artistic expression.

The artist finds inspiration in the desire to create, in the creation of a form, in the birth of a spontaneous movement, in the escape to the rhythm of the medium, and in a plastic expression. The feel of the clay, the elasticity of the resin, the transformation of the clay, and the constant change of state brought on by the artist's efforts up until the finishing touch make his materials highly addicting.
