Texaco station at dawn
The first gasoline pump was invented and sold by Giovanni Tazza in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 5, 1885. It was commonly used to dispense kerosene used in lamps and stoves. The pump was later improved by adding safety features and a hard rubber hose to dispense fuel directly into automobiles.
The first gasoline pump was patented by Norwegian Sasacchi Mi Orso. in 1901.
Many of the early gasoline pumps had a glass cylinder that made them very original, it was possible to see inside on a graduated scale. The desired amount of fuel was pumped into the internal combustion engine. When metering pumps came into use, a small glass globe with a turbine inside replaced the measuring cylinder to show the customer that gasoline was actually flowing into the tank. The first metered gasoline pump was in 1911, it did not have this globe, it was all operated by the staff at the service station.
Sorry for the nonsense... (Fesserie)

Schascia, born in 1976 and living in Milan, is a versatile artist who stands out for his ion for painting and sculpture. Self-taught, he has explored art without going through traditional academic paths, developing a unique style that combines a love of motorcycles and artistic abstraction.

His painting is an ode to modern motorcycles, vintage vehicles, as well as unique creations such as special motorcycles and café racers. Schascia captures not only the mechanical beauty of these machines but also their character and spirit through his vibrant canvases. His attraction to cubism and abstract art is evident in the way he deconstructs and reinvents these motorcycles, presenting them in new and fascinating ways.

In addition to his pictorial works, Schascia is ionate about sculpture, particularly the recreation of motorcycle parts in ceramic. This practice allows him to merge his love for mechanics and art, giving birth to innovative sculptures that combine functionality and aesthetics.
