Cette œuvre a été réalisée pour ma toute première exposition. Il s'agissait de la "6ième Biennale de Pastel en Dauphiné" qui s'est déroulée du 17 février au 3 mars 2024 à Montbonnot saint Martin, à proximité de Grenoble. Cette exposition réunissait des œuvres d'une trentaine d'artistes : des maîtres du pastel, des artistes locaux renommés et des artistes émergents comme moi.
Pour cette exposition, j'ai proposé 3 mini thèmes.
"Ammonite" fait partie du thème "Beauté Naturelle" (avec "Hummingbird").
Cette œuvre a une signification particulière à mes yeux. Elle est en lien avec ma reprise du dessin après un long arrêt de plus de 25 ans. C'est la redécouverte d'un talent bien enfoui pour ainsi dire ;-)
Voici donc la symbolique qui se cache derrière ce fossile d'ammonite rouge dessiné au pastel sec.
Par ailleurs, les fossiles m'ont toujours fascinée et cela depuis l'enfance.
J'ai donc ressenti énormément de plaisir à réaliser ce dessin original et chargé de sens, pour moi en tout cas.
