From Gotham est une série de peintures et de dessins réalisée à la suite du premier voyage de Tarek à New York où il exposait pour la seconde fois en octobre 2014. Sur place, il a réalisé des live painting et l’idée lui est venue de récupérer des objets, des papiers, des stickers et toutes sortes d’éléments ramassés dans la rue. De retour en , il a peint plusieurs toiles en associant ces "petits instants de New York" avec son imaginaire. Un personnage récurrent revient dans plusieurs toiles pour créer des correspondances dans les œuvres peintes en 2014 et 2015.

Tarek explore le monde des super héros évoluant le plus souvent dans l'univers de Gotham. Celui-ci fait partie de mon quotidien comme peintre et scénariste de bande dessinée : Supernain et Blateman et Bobine sont deux albums de super héros qu'il a scénarisé. Il a aussi réalisé des peintures sur cette thématique afin d’élargir et de créer des œuvres tirées de ses bandes dessinées. C'est une ion depuis son plus jeune âge.
