Tatjana M. Pankau, born in 1946, lives and works in , where she devotes herself to her ion for drawing and painting. Using varied mediums such as ink, watercolor and pastel on paper, she established a reputation in still lifes, floral depictions and birds, drawing inspiration from classicism. Deeply influenced by the work of Dürer, Tatjana Pankau explores the subtle details of her subjects with meticulousness and precision, seeking to capture their timeless essence.
Between 1964 and 1970, Tatjana studied at the Werkkunstschule in Cologne, where she honed her skills in sacred and secular painting as well as stained glass under the tutelage of professors W. Teuwen and W. Kadow. Her exceptional talent allowed her to become a Meisterschülerin under Prof. Kadow, and she obtained the title of Designer grad. Building on this rigorous training, she then taught for six years at the Fachoberschule für Gestaltung in Cologne, sharing her knowledge and expertise with the new generation of artists.
After her teaching experience, Tatjana Pankau chose to devote herself entirely to her career as a free artist. His works, marked by a delicacy and finesse reminiscent of the influence of Dürer, captivate with their beauty and precision. Whether through lush floral arrangements, meticulously arranged still lifes, or detailed depictions of birds, her work evokes a bygone era while remaining resolutely modern. Tatjana Pankau continues to create with unwavering ion, bringing a depth and richness to each work that speaks to her dedication to art and love of classical subjects.
