Professeur d'arts plastiques jusqu'en 2021, j'ai étudié aux Beaux-arts de Tourcoing et à la faculté d'arts plastiques de Lille III de 1981 à 1986.
J'ai travaillé également au Musée Matisse de Le Cateau-cambrésis et au LaM de Villeneuve d'Ascq comme animatrice et guide conférencière.
J'ai réalisé des peintures de grand format dont quelques unes ont été exposées dans le cadre d'exposition collective avec l'Union des Arts plastiques,UAP, dans les années 80 ,le Printemps Culturel Valenciennois.
A l'époque, j'étais très influencée par Basquiat Pollock, Antoni Tàpies et Joan Mitchell ainsi que par le copy art.
Par la suite,l'art vidéo expérimental m'a attiré davantage, j'ai mis à profit cette ion dans la mise en place d'ateliers vidéo au sein du musée Matisse de Le Cateau et dans les établissements scolaires, les collèges où j'enseignais les arts plastiques.
Les dessins que je réalise actuellement sont exposés virtuellement à tour de rôle dans les galeries partenaires d'Artboxy et sont publiés régulièrement sur Facebook et Instagram.
Démarche artistique
J'ai créé ce personnage ventru, asexué et sans âge à la chevelure hirsute,en 2022 en réponse à un challenge lancé par un ami artiste,Jozef Bonnot. Celui-ci m'a motivée pour réaliser un dessin par jour pendant un an.
C'est la sculpture de Germaine Richier,''Tauromachie'' qui m'a beaucoup inspirée pour inventer ce personnage mais aussi un travail que j'avais réalisé à la pierre noire quelques années auparavant pendant une séance de modèle vivant et que j'ai redécouvert.
J'ai respecté le challenge ou presque et réalisé plus de 300 dessins représentant ce personnage étrange dans des postures et contextes différents.
Je m'inspire de photographies extraites de spectacles de danse contemporaine,du cinéma,de peintures ou de sculptures d'artistes célèbres ou méconnus mais aussi de ma vie personnelle.
Ce qui m'intéresse avant tout, c'est L'expression du corps,la posture,la représentation des mains et des pieds. J'aime quand mon personnage est grotesque, burlesque mais attachant. Il exprime toujours des émotions.
J'ajoute très souvent un objet représenté avec plus ou moins de réalisme afin de créer un contraste avec le style graphique du personnage beaucoup plus gestuel, parfois proche de l'écriture.
J'ai réalisé plusieurs séries :
1-Série des musiciens dans laquelle une grande partie des instruments de musique est représentée.
2-Série de la danse
J'ai réalisé quelques sculptures en argile inspirées de mon personnage que j'appelle ''Lampito'', du nom de cette femme de l'antiquité, originaire de Sparte qui pour s'opposer à la guerre entre Athènes et Sparte a fait la grève du sexe.
J'ai aussi réalisé des impressions numériques sur des t-shirts blancs pour les personnes intéressées par le style de mon personnage.
