I live in Japan. The first time I used a camera was when I was 12 years old. It was my father's camera. Influenced by my father who was an employee of a railway company, I became obsessed with taking railway photos. One day, I went out to take photos with my father. I was walking with my father's camera around my neck. Suddenly, I fell. The camera hit the ground and was broken beyond repair. It must have been a camera that I had saved up from my small salary to buy. My father must have been very shocked. He didn't scold me. After a while, my father bought me a camera. It was a fairly cheap one, though. I think that through this camera incident, my father taught me a little about how people should live. When I was a student, I belonged to the photography club and took photos on various themes and exhibited them in exhibitions. At that time, it was still the era of film cameras. I did everything myself, from developing the film I shot to printing it. This was a really exciting experience. Decades have ed since then, but my ion for taking photos has not faded and I continue to do so to this day. I experienced the period of change from film to digital. Some of my important works remain in the photos taken with the low pixel count of early digital cameras. Unlike film, digital data does not deteriorate as long as you are careful about storing the data. It's a joy. Light, shadow, color, and capturing that moment as a visual expression in a photograph. This seems simple, but it is very profound. I like to see beautiful landscapes. I want to record beautiful landscapes as photographs, so that everyone can empathize with my work and share my love for nature. In addition to landscapes, wild birds and cityscapes are also interesting subjects to photograph. I am not looking for photos that are just beautiful or interesting. I pursue photos that can evoke stories and expand the image of the viewer. Each work I exhibit at ArtMajeur has a description. When you look at the work, please read the description.
