Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

Tecnica e o (ipotetici)
Olio a impasto molto spesso su tela di fibra di basalto-carbonio, 73 × 93 cm (le dimensioni della “Camera di Arles” del 1888). Il medium è arricchito con micro–cristalli fosforescenti che, in condizioni di bassa luce, emettono lievi bagliori turchesi lungo le pennellate più dense.
Descrizione visiva
Spazio abitativo
La stanza è un modulo abitativo orbitale dai pannelli parete curvi; il blu-cobalto delle superfici interne vibra in lunghe pennellate verticali.
Letto, sedia e tavolino sono di legno chiaro – pennellate ocra-arancio e terra di Siena – che risaltano come isole di calore domestico nell’ambiente siderale.
L’oblò panoramico
Un’enorme finestra ovale occupa l’intera parete sinistra: affaccia su un paesaggio cosmico tratto direttamente dalla “Notte stellata” (1899), ma vivo e pulsante come se lo si osservasse dal vivo.
Vortici di blu oltremare, cerchi giallo-zinco e verdi aurorali ruotano in lenta spirale; in basso, sagome di città spaziale si stagliano come piccoli tocchi cobalto.
Luce e atmosfera
La luce è interamente riflessa dallo spazio esterno: tonalità fredde modellano la camera mentre il giallo-oro del copriletto fa da fulcro cromatico.
Pennellate curve sul pavimento suggeriscono l’effetto di rotazione (gravità artificiale) e un leggero effetto di “onda” nelle tavole.
Stile pittorico
Impasto vorticoso – come nella “Notte stellata” originale: colpi di spatola spessi sul cielo, pennellata più minuta e nervosa sulle pareti interne.
Contrasto complementare – il freddo blu dell’ambiente contro il caldo arancio dei mobili amplifica la tensione emotiva.
Disequilibrio ottico – la curvatura del modulo e il moto spiraliforme del cielo creano una sensazione di lieve vertigine, equilibrata dalla stabilità piatta del letto.
L’opera trasferisce la poetica di Van Gogh in un futuro di colonie orbitali: la dimensione intima resta identica – il letto, la sedia, la brocca – ma il mondo fuori è divenuto universo aperto. L’impasto cromatico testimonia che, anche nell’anno 3000, il pittore continuerebbe a trasformare la realtà percepita in emozione pura, con pennellate che fondono nostalgia di “casa” e meraviglia per l’infinito
